Nước chấm is a staple in Vietnamese cuisine. Whether it's used as a dipping sauce on the side or dressed on top of main dishes; it's flavors enhances whatever one eats! The main ingredient is fermented fish sauce and each family has their own variations based on their own preference. Restaurants generally make this liquid golden sauce a bit sweeter. Ingredients
½ cup fish sauce
½ cup sugar
3-4 tbsp lime juice
½ cup water
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp sriracha
2 tsp crush rooster chili or chopped fresh Thai chili
Method
Mix all ingredients together. Can be stored in refrigerator up to two weeks if not contaminated. Always use can utensils grab amount needed.
