Deana's Lemon Ginger Honey Cocktail

I always make a ton of lemon, ginger and honey mixture for flu season. It’s great in teas or by itself with some hot water. Packed with immune boosting vitamins, it’s a natural way to fight colds and viruses during the colder weather. I also love using two tablespoons of this to make a cocktail! I get the enjoyment of a drink and some good vitamins! I hope you enjoy it too!

Ingredients for Lemon Ginger Honey Mix

  • 4-5 lemons (depends how big)

  • 1 lb of ginger

  • 1 - 1.5 cups of honey

Materials

  • 34oz mason jar

  • Knife

  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Slice lemons into thin slices.

  2. Slice or julienne ginger.

  3. Layer lemon, ginger and honey like a lasagna. Repeat till the mason jar is filled to top leaving a ¾ inch space. Add honey to cover completely.

  4. Leave at room temperature for 4 hours. Refrigerate after. Will keep for months if not contaminated.
